Baby, let the games begin. After months of speculation, Taylor Swift’s wedding venue has seemingly been confirmed. According to inside sources and New York City street permits, the pop princess will marry her baller beau at none other than Madison Square Garden, one of the nation’s most iconic performance venues.

Why The Garden? It’s spacious enough to host their 1,200 (!) wedding guests and offers a modicum of privacy from paparazzi and onlookers. Plus, it’s the best of both worlds for the wedding of a professional athlete and one of the most famous artists of all time.

Stadiums and large performance arenas might seem like non-traditional wedding venues, but they can be the perfect party backdrop for sports fans or large guest lists. Here are five stadium venues to consider for your big day.

Angel Stadium

Location: Anaheim, CA
Nickname: The Big A

Tying the knot in the City of Angels? Roll out the red carpet at Angel Stadium, home to LA’s Major League team and ten in-house event spaces. Outdoor ceremonies can take place on the field, in the Rose Garden, or on the Home Plate Pad beneath the Big Red Hats and Bats. Indoor options include the Don Julio Club, Brewery X, Lexus Diamond Club, and the Home Plate Club.

Yankee Stadium

Location: Bronx, NY
Nickname: The House That Ruth Built

Home to one of the most popular teams in MLB history, Yankee Stadium is not your average ballpark. From Babe Ruth to Lou Gehrig, the stadium has borne witness to some of the most memorable men and moments in baseball — and now it can be part of your memorable day! Whether you’re planning an intimate elopement or a grand ceremony, there’s an event space for you at Yankee Stadium.

Fenway Park

Location: Boston, MA
Nickname: The Cathedral of Boston

Built in 1912, Fenway Park is the oldest active ballpark in the Major League. The stadium boasts fourteen unique event spaces ranging from indoor suites to outdoor terraces and grandstand seats. The 521 Overlook — named after former Red Sox player Ted Williams’s number of career home runs — offers a picturesque view of the field with space for up to 600 guests.

Target Center

Location: Minneapolis, MN
Nickname: The Bullseye

If your man knows how to ball and you know Aristotle, Target Center might be the perfect backdrop to your big day. Part basketball court and part concert venue, Target Center also offers seven newly renovated event spaces with sweeping views of the city’s skyline. Lexus Courtside Club is located on the main floor of the arena with elegant decor, five-star dining, and room for up to three hundred guests.

Nissan Stadium

Location: Nashville, TN
Nickname: The Coliseum

From whimsical wineries to historic homes, Nashville has no shortage of beautiful wedding venues. Nissan Stadium is a great option for couples who want an iconic local venue that breaks the mold. Home to the Tennessee Titans, the football stadium offers 50,000 square feet of bookable event space for weddings, parties, and corporate events. Even more event space is anticipated in early 2027 with the arrival of the new Nissan Stadium.

Why Sports Stadiums Make Great Wedding Venues

When rumors began to circulate about Taylor and Travis getting married at Madison Square Garden, the general public was (understandably) a bit confused. But honestly? It makes a lot of sense.

Sports stadiums make great wedding venues because:

  • They can accommodate large parties.
  • They offer both indoor and outdoor space.
  • They specialize in top-tier dining and entertainment.
  • They pay homage to personal interests and fanbases.
  • They’re unique — it’s not every day you attend a wedding on home plate or center court.

Whether the A-list couple ties the knot at MSG or not, we’ll be cheering from the sidelines.
