Tom and Katie. George and Amal. Harry and Meghan. Few things capture the attention of the general public more than a high-profile celebrity wedding — and Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s is no exception.

Ever since their August 2025 engagement, internet detectives have been working overtime to figure out when and where the popular couple is tying the knot. While details are under wraps, rumor has it the dynamic duo is planning to wed at Rhode Island’s Ocean House hotel on June 13, 2026.

Learn about the romantic venue and why we think it’s a great fit.

Why Rhode Island

For a couple who can afford to get married literally anywhere, Rhode Island might seem like a random wedding destination. But for Swift, it’s home.

In 2013, she purchased a house in Westerly, Rhode Island. The house is known as Holiday House or High Watch because it sits on the summit of Watch Hill.

Over the years, the house — supposedly the most expensive private home in the state of Rhode Island — has been spotted on Swift’s Instagram as the backdrop to her annual Fourth of July parties. It has also been immortalized in her song, The Last Great American Dynasty, which tells the story of the previous homeowner, Rebekah Harkness.

Speculators believe Swift intended to get married at Holiday House, but pivoted due to capacity concerns. The next best thing? Ocean House

Why Ocean House

Located a stone’s throw away and within eyesight of Swift’s home, this luxury hotel is known for its five-star service and quintessential New England aesthetic. It is the only AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five-Star hotel in Rhode Island, and one of fourteen resorts worldwide with Forbes Five-Star ratings for both its spa and fine-dining restaurant.

Ocean House contains 49 guestrooms, 20 Signature Suites, and 13 cottages sprinkled throughout the Watch Hill area. Guests can also enjoy the hotel’s amenities aboard the Chanticleer Yacht, a private floating residence nearby.

In addition to its top-tier accommodations, the hotel specializes in luxury weddings and events. Couples can choose from four picturesque locations for wedding ceremonies of all sizes:

  • Herb Garden (20 guests)
  • South Lawn (150 guests)
  • East Lawn (200 guests)
  • Beach Ceremony (250 guests)

Additional spaces are available for wedding receptions, ranging from singular rooms to beachside cottages, terraces, and tents. The hotel also offers a variety of dining packages for both strolling receptions and plated dinners. Prices run from $310 to $565 per head.

As a Rhode Island resident and romantic at heart, we can see why Swift would select Ocean House as her wedding venue — it’s charming, upscale, and intimate. It would also be a convenient place for guests to stay if she ends up hosting the wedding at Holiday House.

What We’re Expecting

As party people ourselves, we can’t wait to see how the couple spends their big day. Here are a few things we’re expecting from the star-studded celebration:

  • Family first: The couple is known for their close relationships with their respective families. We think their relatives will be heavily involved in the ceremony as flower girls, escorts, and the wedding party.
  • Feline-friendly: Swift’s love for her cats runs as deep as her love for Kelce. We’d love to see the couple incorporate their four-legged friends into their wedding day somehow.
  • New wedding trends: From friendship bracelets to sparkly freckles, Taylor Swift is one of the most influential trend setters. We can’t wait to see what new craze she’ll start with her unique wedding-day style.
  • Rockin’ reception: We don’t think DJ Spotify will be making an appearance at this wedding. Our bet is that one (or several) of Swift’s industry friends will bring the house down.

Wherever they choose to get married, we wish nothing but the best for our favorite English teacher and gym teacher!
