Victor’s Event Room is a state of the art event and conference center outside of Dallas. Located in The Historic Anderson Building, the event space offers spacious and flexible options for events of all types and sizes.

Lori Ahlstrom, the Marketing Director for Victor’s Event Room, shared her experiences using various marketing initiatives to increase event business.

The Challenge

In the past, the venue has spent thousands of dollars running advertisements in a major national wedding publication and local bridal magazines to build brand awareness and increase wedding bookings. While the ads were visually appealing and gave Victor’s Event Room exposure, it was hard to get a grasp on how much business it was bringing in and measure the return on investment.

The Solution

Lori centered her attention and budget on online advertising and is growing their social media presence because she can more effectively measure results and reach a large audience. The venue is also targeting the local market through networking opportunities with the chamber of commerce and by hosting special events, such as evening jazz shows, for the public to come, enjoy the venue and experience the setting.

The Result

80% of events hosted at Victor’s Event Room are weddings and Eventective has contributed to those bookings for weddings and other events such as parties and quinceaneras.

Weddings are so popular that the venue is in the process of building a new chapel for ceremonies.

Lori’s Advice

Be online. Lori has implemented different strategies to reach customers online through advertising and social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

Promote pricing. Victor’s Events Room promotes rental rates on their Eventective listing and has an interactive booking tool on their website. “People love that they see our pricing online and have an idea of what their event is going to cost before they contact us and come in for a tour of the facility.”

Customer service is important for happy customers, referrals and repeat business. “We pride ourselves on offering the best customer service and work closely with each client to make the event wonderful and personal.”
